We want to invite you to join us on an exciting discovery tour showcasing some of New Zealand’s most spectacular scenery. The journey begins in Christchurch, from where we’ll take a road trip to Springfield, located at the foothills of the Southern Alps.

Tranz Alpine Train Journey

At Springfield, we’ll board the world-famous TranzAlpine train, which will take us on a breathtaking journey through the Southern Alps to Arthurs Pass. The train offers panoramic views of the alpine scenery and has been recognized as one of the top ten train journeys in the world.

After reaching Arthurs Pass, we’ll continue our tour by road, driving over the snow-capped Southern Alps in the Arthurs Pass National Park, and stopping at the Otira Gorge for a photo opportunity. We’ll also visit the old village of Otira before heading back to Arthurs Pass for lunch at the Wobbly Kea Restaurant. After lunch, we’ll have some time to explore the village and go on some of the many walks available.

The return journey to Christchurch will be by road, with a stop for an exhilarating jet boat ride through the spectacular gorges of the Waimakariri River. We’ll then head to a farm for late afternoon tea, followed by a sheep shearing and sheep mustering demonstration.

The Arthur’s Pass Day Tour price includes return transport, jet boating, lunch, a sheep farm visit, and a one-way train journey. The tour will take approximately 10 to 11 hours.
