New Zealand Temporary Visa

Now if you have landed in New Zealand and for some reason you will need a Temporary visa, then the best way to go about is to make an application for one at the customs after landing. This application will be address to the Immigration officer along with the necessary documents like current passport, certificate of identity and the expired temporary passport if you have one.

If there are dependents that you want included on the temporary visa then you have to follow some procedures. It’s depends upon the no of family members and who the principal applicants are, that many no of applications will be required. Any children below the age of nineteen can be added on the application for visitors permit or transit visas.

There are specific regulations on who will the principal applicant be, what does the term partner mean and who can be included in this category and the status of the children. All these criteria come under consideration when the application is forwarded for approval. If the applicant is looking for student visa or work visa then he or she has to be who is looking for any of the permits and not the dependents. The term partner constitutes a legally married person, or a person who is in a civil union relation either opposite or same sex .A person who is a de facto relation with either a resident of New Zealand or with the principal applicant or the holder of a work student or temporary visa is also considered as partner. The eligibility of the partners and children for temporary visas is reliant solely on the being the partner or child of the Principal applicant or holder of the permit or visa. The immigration officer needs to be satisfied on all counts before he can make the final decision.
