Applying for Visa or Permit

You need to get all your documents arranged, if you want to apply for a Visa or Permit. If you want to apply for New Zealand’s visa or permit, you should completely understand the process of applying so that you don’t have to face any problem or hassle.

Dealing with New Zealand’s Immigration Department
New Zealand immigration department promises to treat all the applications honestly and fairly. The New Zealand department also tries its best to process the immigration applications quickly. The immigration process starts with filling up an immigration form. You can also take advise of a professional person to fill up the form. That professional person can be your lawyer, consultant or any person, who can fill the form. Once you send the application, you should wait for the response from the immigration department. In case your application gets rejected, you can request for reconsideration or can appeal to the Residential Review Board. The immigration authorities will notify in writing, if your application gets declined including reason for the decision.

Required Document 
You should arrange all documents carefully when you decide to apply for New Zealand immigration. Any person over the age of 17 can apply for work, visit, or study visa for more than 2 years. The required documents for applying for the visa are:

■ Certificate from police from the country of applicant’s citizenship
â–  Certificate from police from the country where they have lived for 5 years since they have turned 17.

You also need to provide medical certificate to New Zealand department from a qualified doctor.

From the New Zealand immigration site, you can find out the fee you have to pay to apply for the immigration. In case there is any problem in the application, your immigration process can be delayed. Generally, delays are due to incomplete information or missing documents. The New Zealand immigration department will let you know about any missing information. But it’s your responsibility to keep track of your application.
